The Washington DC Dragon Boat Festival is run out of the Thompson's Boat Center, located along the Potomac River in downtown Washington DC. Ample parking is available in the area along Water Street or a variety of parking garages in Georgetown or the Kennedy Center garages. Parking is metered on Saturdays so be aware of the need to feed meters if you choose to park at a street meter. Parking at Thompson's Boat Center is restricted on race days to those involved directly with the festival and is available by permit only. Teams will be allowed to pull into the TBC parking lot in order to drop off team supplies prior to parking your car off-site. The teams athlete village is located just west of the boat center at Georgetown Waterfront Park, along Water Street in Georgetown by the fountain at 31st Street. Tents will be set up by the festival organizers and assigned to teams. Teams may NOT bring their own tent to the festival this year. This is National Park Service property, no formal advertising may take place in the form of corporate banners. Athletes may spread out on the grassy area, but we have been asked that people sit on towels there rather than chairs that may damage the grass. Thank you for your cooperation in this regard.
